Second TA-65 Cohort study paper published online

06 Nov Second TA-65 Cohort study paper published online

The second paper describing the effects of TA-65 and a comprehensive health maintenance program has been published online on pubmed. In it we demonstrated that the program reduced total and LDL cholesterol, fasting glucose and insulin, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and improved bone density. The effect of the program was very beneficial in that it decreased glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol only if they were above the optimal range and didn’t lower them to a level where adverse effects could occur. This is unlike current therapies that can overshoot the ideal level and points to a different mechanism, one of improving homeostatic control rather than a pharmacologic effect. Of course, this was not a randomized, controlled trial and many factors could have affected these parameters, including the supplement packs. However, there is a controlled trial of TA-65 over half completed taking place in Madrid that will potentially give us more proof of the effectiveness of small molecule telomerase activation in middle-aged adults. We hope to have preliminary results in the next 6 months.

REF: “However, there is a controlled trial of TA-65 over half completed taking place in Madrid that will potentially give us more proof of the effectiveness of small molecule telomerase activation in middle-aged adults.”

Does this imply that the effectiveness factor is expected to be less evident in older adults, like me at age 72??

I am sorry, perhaps I misused the term “middle-aged” because I am used to thinking of 60 year olds as in their middle years. The trial is exclusively composed of men and women 55-75 years old. So the results will be directly applicable to you at 72. I should also add that I often see very positive response in telomere length and immune function in my patients on TA-65 up to age 84.

Excellent information!! Where can we read the entire article and how many participants did you have in the cohort? Another plus in the column with the heading PREVENTION!!
    Thank you Dr. Raffaele!!
